Winter Warmth Tree. Another of our yearly missions is the collection of new warm clothing for children to the age of 18. These donations are given to North Kent Community Services. They are looking for hats, mittens, scarves, jackets, snow pants, socks, underwear, pajamas, flannel lounge pants with t-shirts, undershirts and other similar pieces of clothing. These new items should be placed on or under the Winter Warmth Tree (mitten tree) in the narthex. Please have these donations to church by November 29. Thank you for your caring and generosity.

Cookie Walk The North Kent Presbyterian Church Annual Holiday Cookie Walk will be held Saturday, December 12, from 9:00 a.m. to noon (or until cookies are all gone). Sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board at the back of the Narthex. Please consider baking and/or volunteering to work this event which is always a very successful fund raiser for the Presbyterian Women. Price is $7.00 per box. You pick. Come early for the best selection.
Advent Decorating Plan to help decorate the church for the Advent season after church on Sunday, November 22. Stay for ½ hour or 1 ½ hour! Chili lunch served by the Membership Committee. Kathleen Bell will host an activity during the decorating time in the Sunday School room. All children ages 4-10 are welcome to join them.
Photo Wall Membership Committee has decided that a wall of photos of our church family would be beneficial to visitors, new members, and our new pastor as well. So starting on Sunday, Nov 1, and for the next several Sundays, our volunteer photographers will be available to take pictures of you and/or your family, after church for the photo wall. But, unlike in the past we will not have these pictures for sale. Looking forward to seeing your smile, the Membership Committee.
Pledge Drive Thank you to all who have pledged their time, talent and financial resources to support the ministry of North Kent. If you haven’t yet pledged, we will continue to accept the pledge forms. Blank forms are on the table in the narthex.
On Sunday, November 22 We are invited to participate in a litany of Releasing Burdens and Receiving Blessings which will be a part of the service that day. If you are living with hurts, concerns, anger, worry, hopelessness or fears, you are invited to release those to God. If you are living with joy, thanks, and praise, you are invited to acknowledge those blessings. In preparation, please consider your burdens and your blessings and prepare to participate in a litany of scripture and song that day. Paper will be provided and you will be asked to write your burdens and blessings and bring them to Jesus’ Table after which they will be burned.
Sunday Discussion Group The discussion on the study guide titled "Embracing an Adult Faith" has concluded. The group will be discussing possible subjects, books, videos, and/or study guides on November 22 with the goal of selecting a subject folks are interested in. If you have ideas please let us know or come to the next meeting.
