Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) urges your support for those affected by Hurricane Matthew. The category 4 hurricane has been blamed for hundreds of deaths. Earliest assessments confirm extensive damage in southwestern Haiti and eastern Cuba. PDA was already active in the area, doing long-term recovery work related to the 2010 earthquake in Haiti and Superstorm Sandy of 2012. Additional funds will be needed to continue that recovery. To give $10 text “PDA” to 20222 or send a check to: Presbyterian Church (USA) P.O. Box 643700 Pittsburgh, PA 15264-3700.
For continued assistance to the U.S. Gulf Coast: text “PDAFLOOD” to 20222 or send to the above address.

Santa Claus Girls. The church is a local distribution center for the Santa Claus Girls. We deliver gifts on Saturday morning, December 17th. We need driver volunteers to deliver the bags to families in the Rockford and Belmont area. We need two person teams per vehicle. We are asking for your help. It will take about 2-3 hours to complete the deliveries. Please call 616 874 8230 to sign up, sign the Santa Claus sign-up sheet on the bulletin board or tell us personally.
Operation Christmas Child is coming. Boxes can be found in the Teeuwissen Room along with ideas of items to put in the box. Please be sure to add $7.00 per box for shipping, either cash or a check made out to NKPC. The last Sunday to collect these will be November 6.
Children. All children ages 4 to 10 are invited to join the Sunday school class following the children's message. The topic is “God Gives People Food” Exodus 16:1-8. 11-15. 31-32.. It will help the children see food as a reminder that God can be trusted to take care of us.
