IT’ BACK! The NKPC Fishing Contest is back on again. Will you catch the biggest fish in 2017? Check out the poster for rules and details! Everyone is welcome to participate.
LEAFING OUT FOR GREENWOOD! The Camp Greenwood trees are leafing out nicely, both at the Campground and on our poster. We have six of our NKPC children registered to attend Camp Greenwood and there are two more who are thinking about it. The Send a Kid to Camp Fund is now covering five of those children ($1,803.71) so we are still hoping for continued assistance. Thank you to all who have contributed so far to make this possible.
One family is going to family camp. Care to join them?
BOND WITH YOUR FAMILY: Camp Greenwood is offering a family camp this summer July 4th - 7th. All ages are welcome and you can pitch your tent or rent a cabin or bring a camper. There will be activities planned and you and or your children can participate if you would like, as well as time set aside for Bible Study for adults and kids. Evenings will be filled with campfires, gourmet s'mores and group activities. Take this opportunity to unwind and appreciate the joys of Christian community and magnificent creation!
YANK! (Young Adults of North Kent) The young adults of North Kent are next meeting at Delia's house on Friday 6/16 at 8:30 pm. Bring your bike, a helmet, and food to share and beverages as the young adults go watch an outdoor movie in the park by Gerald R. Ford Museum! (Contact church office for details.)
Joy Bicycle Group. The group will gather at 10:30 a.m. Saturday June 17 at the Rogue River Trailhead in Belmont. This ride is a great opportunity for anyone interested in checking out the bike group experience. The riders will go from the trailhead to Rockford and back. Following the ride, the cyclists and non-riders will enjoy a picnic lunch together. The group’s annual camping and motel weekend will be held in Cadillac on June 23 to 26. Anyone interested in attending either for the weekend or for just Saturday’s ride, call the church office. All riders, don’t forget those helmets!
Waterers needed! If you enjoy working outside, you are invited to come and to water our new plants. They could use a drink on a daily basis, especially when it is over 80 degrees.
LPGA Notice. Please note that this coming week, June 12-18 is the LPGA Golf event at the Blythefield Hills Country Club. Thus, traffic will be very difficult to negotiate in the area around the church, especially Thursday through Sunday. Please give yourself extra time, especially next Sunday morning, Father's Day.
