Sign up today to deliver presents at 9 am on December 14th for Santa Claus Girls! Let Pastor Karen know if you can help. Don't forget to sign up for the Cookie Walk on December 14th. Women's Association runs this traditional fundraiser each year to support our Mission Projects, including Family Promise and Camp Greenwood. Please bring cookies...our loyal following is looking forward to them! THANK YOU to all of you for supporting Family Promise/Interfaith Hospitality Network. We hosted our first two families last week and everything worked well. We have developed a wonderful partnership with our neighboring Tribes church and they pretty much split the duties with us. Flexible schedules during Thanksgiving week was the biggest challenge, but everything worked out well. The good news was that both our guest families got to spend the Holiday with their extended families, and had a warm dinner and a place to sleep the rest of the week. The best news is that at least one of our families has found more permanent housing. We look forward to hosting again the last week in January, probably with all new guests. If you didn't have a chance to participate this last week, please take the opportunity to do so during one of our five 2020 rotations. I guarantee you will feel blessed and grateful for the opportunity to lend a hand to our neighbors. ROCKFORD COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA & BAND CONCERT. Everyone is invited today Sunday, December 8th at 3 pm! This wonderful FREE concert will be held at Rockford High School. Come and join in the community holiday spirit! Come and join us as we tell the Christ Story, sing our favorite carols and end with the singing of Silent Night by Candlelight! The NKPC Christmas Party will be held immediately following the Christmas Eve service at approximately 8:15 pm. Bring food to share and celebrate Christmas with your friends!
