John Knox is downsizing and was looking for a good home for their pulpit and font. Since these items match our pews in style, session voted unanimously to try them in our sanctuary. This Sunday is Pentecost. It's time for the Pentecost Offering! Use the “Pentecost Offering” envelope in your box, give online or mail a check to: PC (USA) P.O. Box 643700; Pittsburgh, PA 15264-3700. This gift helps the church encourage, develop, and support its young people, and address the needs of at-risk children. 40% of the Pentecost offering can be retained by our congregation to help young people in our community. "The Loneliness of the Long Distance Whistleblower" based on Aristotle's "Golden Mean" will appear in Misty Mountain Review and "Ideology" based on Zizek's concept of ideology will appear in Praxis magazine.
