We will be using Michigan's "Master Angler" records to score our fish and to compete against each other for a $50 prize and very important bragging rights! Submit your photo of your catch next to a tape measure to enter the contest. Multiple entries encouraged. Everyone is invited to participate. MARK THIS DATE ON YOUR CALENDAR! Thursday, September 6 will be the beginning of rehearsals for the Bell & Chancel Choirs. We are having a potluck to celebrate a new year of joyous music! Bells practice at 6 PM, followed by a Potluck for all at 6:45 and Choir rehearsal at 7:15. We welcome all who may be interested in joining us to come for fellowship, food and, of course, music! YOUTH CREW CAR WASH – The Youth Crew will be doing a Car Wash on Rally Sunday, September 9 to raise money for a playground at the church. Please put the date on your calendar and get your cars dirty so we can clean them! No set price, just donations. Thank you! We are starting to include younger youth in our activities, so if you have children or grandchildren who would be interested in any of the things we do, please email nkpcyouthcrew@gmail.com and we will send you Youth Crew Invitation Cards through the mail to let you know what is happening! The cost is determined by the number of people attending, so let Pastor Karen know ASAP! MISSION COMMITTEE UPDATES: We will be filling backpacks for a local foster care agency. D.A. Blodgett-St. John’s Home keeps a steady supply of age and gender appropriate backpacks for children who are new to the foster care system. Watch the table in the fellowship room for details. Please join us in this worthwhile cause. SAFE HAVEN is looking forward to a new facility with increased capacity of services for those seeking freedom from domestic violence. They expect the building to be ready for occupancy in mid-December. Their Capital Campaign has raised $4.9 million so far!
