MISSION UPDATE
  • Looking ahead to the New Year, the Youth Crew will be doing their own mission work raising funds and canned soups for the Souper Bowl of Caring February 4th and the World Vision 30 Hour Famine. Keep your eyes open for news from our youth.
CAMP GREENWOOD MATCHING FUND!  The session has set a goal of raising $1000.00 in general operating support for Camp Greenwood in 2018. To that end they have designated $500.00 from the 2017 church budget and are seeking matching contributions from the congregation. (This $1000 is in addition to the camper scholarships that we will be sponsoring for our children this summer.)  If you can match the session’s donation, please contact Pastor Karen.  $300 has been committed already, can you help with $200 more?

FEBRUARY 4TH IS SOUPER BOWL SUNDAY!  Please plan on bringing your donation of a can of soup or gift some funds for the Youth Crew as they raise awareness around our local food insecurity needs!

CONGREGATIONAL ANNUAL MEETING, FEB 4TH.  Please plan on staying after worship on 2/4/18 to conduct our annual congregational meeting to elect our new officers! We also will be reviewing some of our emergency procedures.

FEBRUARY 11TH is Scouting Sunday.  We will be worshipping with our boy scout troop that day and celebrating their good work and dedicating the new NKPC collection bins from Ryan Hazy's Eagle Scout Project!

ASH WEDNESDAY
February 14th is Ash Wednesday and we will be participating in a combined service at First Congregational Church of Rockford (192 E Bridge St NE) at 6:30 pm along with Bostwick Lake Congregational.  A combined choir is being planned and the three congregations will be coming together again here at NKPC on Maundy Thursday.  Please plan on joining us for this special service of repentance and healing prayer.
