Contribute to the NKPC Greenwood Scholarship Fund today! CAMP GREENWOOD CLEAN UP DAYS: You are invited to help clean up our camp and get it ready for summertime fun! Clean up Saturdays will be held on April 27th and on May 18th. Stop by 13564 MacClain St NE Gowen anytime between 9:30 am - 5 pm to help. FACILITIES NEWS! Church spring clean-up dates - Saturday, May 4th beginning at 10 AM with outdoor items being the top priority and Sunday, May 19th after worship for both indoor and any remaining outdoor tasks. The Garden Committee is also looking for volunteers to work with Chet Knox on our outside landscaping in 2019. FISH BOXES" DUE EASTER SUNDAY. Please remember to bring your "One Great Hour of Sharing" Boxes, with your change inside, to worship with you on Easter Sunday. They will be collected during the object lesson. THANK YOU! BENEFIT CONCERT: The Micki Benefit Concert for Camp Greenwood Scholarships will be held on Saturday, May 18th at 4 pm. The suggested donation is a minimum of $50 per person and the event includes a delicious gourmet meal at Micki's lovely home along with a magnificent classical piano concert. Seating is strictly limited to only the first 16 people who make reservations. Reservations will be taken by telephone only, starting at 10 am on Tuesday, April 23rd. Please call George at the NKPC office at (616) 866-2230. (Please note: no verbal, text or email reservations are being allowed in order to make the process fair to all. Thank you for understanding.) VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION SUNDAY Our annual celebration of all of the volunteers that make the work of NKPC possible is on Sunday, May 5th GRADUATION SUNDAY! Attention graduates, if you are graduating this spring, please let the church office know, so we can celebrate your important life milestone with you on Sunday, May 19th. OPEN HOUSE Everyone is joyfully invited to Elisa's Graduation Open House on Friday, May 24th from 5 - 9 pm. Food and festivities are being planned for Pastor Karen's backyard at 4273 Mohave Ct. SW Grandville, MI. (Those wishing to enter the NKPC fishing contest are also encouraged to bring their fishing poles and bait.) THE 2019 NKPC FISHING CONTEST is now accepting entries! We will be using Michigan's "Master Angler" records to score our fish and to compete against each other for a $50 prize and very important bragging rights! Submit your photo of your catch next to a tape measure to enter the contest. Multiple entries encouraged. Everyone is invited to participate. Entries accepted until October 20th. PLEASE NOTE: THE ADULT 9:15 DISCUSSION GROUP IS CANCELLED FOR EASTER SUNDAY MORNING, BUT WILL RESUME THEIR CONVERSATIONS NEXT WEEK. ANNUAL REPORT CORRECTION: Please note that the NKPC 2018 annual report regretfully neglected to include the wedding of Virginia McIntyre and Taylor Longoria on Saturday, May 26th, 2018. (Please watch for a label to insert on page 19 to correct this omission.) CHURCH GARDENS. The snow IS going to melt and it will be time to start gardening. We are in need of someone to work with Chet Knox to co-ordinate a watering/weeding schedule for the landscaping around the church. Also, it has been suggested that the gardening space created by the youth crew could become a learning lab with experienced gardeners sharing their expertise with newbie gardeners. If you are interested in this opportunity, please let Sally (facilities) or Jake (elder for youth) know. LPGA TOURNAMENT VOLUNTEERS! The LPGA tournament will soon be upon us, and Presbyterian Women need all the men, women, and Youth Crew volunteers we can get to man our parking lot in the 2nd week of June, Thursday through Saturday, June 13, 14, and 15. Sign up schedule posted on the Narthex bulletin board. Laura Weld is the best person to ask for information. Money raised will help fund Camp Greenwood scholarships.
