YOUTH GROUP NEWS. The Hunger Fast is rapidly approaching! April 20th and 21st! 6 pm to 6 pm. We need your pledges! CAMP GREENWOOD Our giving tree needs to leaf out and only you can help! Because we are partners with Greenwood, all our campers now receive 10 % off of our camper registrations. This means that the same amount of money we raised last year will send more kids to camp! If you would like to help send our NKPC kids to camp, please mark your check for Greenwood scholarships. Camp Greenwood Forever! If you or your child want to go to Camp, tell Pastor Karen or Jake Dayringer which camp you want to register for! CAMP GREENWOOD clean up days are April 21st and May 19th! Come and have some fun making our camp beautiful together! All ages and abilities are welcome. CHOIR REHEARSAL. On April 12th there will be a choir rehearsal, but no bell choir rehearsal. FLUTE AND DRUM CIRCLE. Douglas Blue Feather, an award winning Native American flutist will be coming to our sister church, North Park Presbyterian on Sunday, April 29th. Following worship, he will lead people in a community drumming circle at 12:30 pm. Several rhythm instruments will be available to share or you are invited to bring your own. PASTOR CONTINUING EDUCATION. Pastor Karen will be gone April 23rd - 29th to Montreat, North Carolina for the Presbyterian Clergywomen's Triennium Retreat. Please contact the Rev. The mission committee thanks you for a VERY successful 40 days = 40 items closet item drive. 25 large bags of clothing were donated and 14 of those were given to the Women's Resource Center for their Working Women's Closet. 11 bags went to our ministry partners North Kent Connect. Thank you for your generosity! MICKI MEETS MAURICE. A Fundraising Concert for Camp Greenwood in memory of Christian Kelly. Our very own Mickaeleen Kelly, pianist extraordinaire, will be hosting a piano concert and fundraising dinner at her home on Sunday, May 20th at 4 pm. For $50 a plate your ears will swoon with exquisite music and your palate will be delighted with exceptional food. The piano program is introduced with Manuel de Falla's Ritual Fire Dance, and then moves into eight selections by Maurice Ravel. The program is concluded with Mark Hayes moving rendition of How Great Thou Art. Seating is limited to the first 16 people who sign up.
