November 22, 2015 North Kent Presbyterian News Winter Warmth Tree. Another of our yearly missions is the collection of new warm clothing for children to the age of 18. These donations are given to North Kent Community Services. They are looking for hats, mittens, scarves, jackets, snow pants, socks, underwear, pajamas, flannel lounge pants with t-shirts, undershirts and other similar pieces of clothing. These new items should be placed on or under the Winter Warmth Tree (mitten tree) in the narthex. Please have these donations to church by November 29. Thank you for your caring and generosity.

Chili lunch will be served by the Membership Committee. All children ages 4-10 are welcome to participate in an activity in the Sunday School room during the decorating time. Photo Wall Membership Committee has decided that a wall of photos of our church family would be beneficial to visitors, new members, and our new pastor as well. So starting on Sunday, Nov 1, and for the next several Sundays, our volunteer photographers, will be available to take pictures of you and/or your family, after church for the photo wall. But, unlike in the past we will not have these pictures for sale. Looking forward to seeing your smile, the Membership Committee. This Sunday morning we are invited to participate in a litany of Releasing Burdens and Receiving Blessings. If you are living with hurts, concerns, anger, worry, hopelessness or fears, you are invited to release those burdens to God. If you are living with joy, thanks, and praise, you are invited to acknowledge those blessings. You will find paper in the pews on which to write your Burdens and your Blessings. There will be scripture reading and music during this reflection time. As you are ready, bring your Burdens and your Blessings to Jesus’ Table and leave them there. Mike Dennis will burn them following worship. Operations Christmas Child. Mission Committee is pleased to report that 48 wonderful boxes were sent out to Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas child. Each box has a tracking number. We should know by February or so where they went. Last year they went to Ghana.
