Sunday Morning Discussion Group will begin the new season on October 2 using a highly recommended study guide provided by Presbytery. Living the Questions 2.0 is an open-minded alternative to studies that attempt to give participants all the answers and instead strives to create an environment where participants can interact with one another in exploring what's next for Christianity. Featuring thirty acclaimed scholars, theologians and other experts, LtQ2 consists of 21 sessions that may be used in sequence or independently. We finished 13 sessions last year, and could finish in 2016. We can also go back and review a session if so desired. Each discussion will begin with a brief overview, watch/listen to a video, and then discuss the focus of the lesson. The material can be discussed in the order we want, and for as long as we want, and there are no right answers or exams. Each session is self-contained and there is no homework, so one can come when they can and not be worried about being behind.
NKPC’s Fall/Winter preparation and Cleanup: The time to prepare our church for fall and winter is almost here. The event is scheduled for October 1st, from 9 AM till Noon. A task list will be provided. Coffee and drinks and some edibles will be provided. As usual, there will be inside tasks and outside tasks identified so you have options. We do not expect to get everything done, but at least get a good start on the season. A significant focus this year will be cleaning the classroom in the loft area over the narthex which needs our attention. Let's make it a welcoming place for our youth to meet!
